One of the most important systems of an airplane is its electrical system, which is responsible for providing electrical power. The CSD provides a constant speed of the generator whose input is from the engine gearbox with different speeds, and the CSD keeps the output constant at 6000 rpm. When 6000 rpm is supplied to the generator by the CSD component, a 400 Hz, 120 V 3-phase frequency is generated for use by the aircraft’s electrical system.
CSD and GEN components are integrated in new generation aircraft, which is called Integrated Propulsion Generator (IDG). Boeing 737 and MD aircraft have CSD & GEN. IMA has the ability to test, repair and overhaul them.
In this workshop:
Go to repair, testing and overhaul, which is only part of the capabilities of this workshop. To check more capabilities, you can get information from the companies on the capability list. Airbus family of aircraft and Fokker and Bombardier, Embraer, ATR aircraft use IDG parts, in a list of IMA capabilities up to the overhaul level.
Iranian Mahan Irik Company provides excellent services to the country’s air fleet by having expert and trained engineers and obtaining a Part 145 (MOA) license from CAA in the C5 category. The construction of a test table with an output speed of 15000 rpm and 250 horsepower has provided the possibility of testing all kinds of CSD & IDG & GENERATOR parts.
